We were fortunate to recently have Grandma come for a visit from the east coast. She’s been out to San Diego to visit many times so there aren’t many new places she hasn’t been to share with her. So I was super excited to take her to Eve Encinitas while she was here. I LOVE Eve. It’s become one of my favorite local places. I never tire of their delicious bowls, and their raw desserts are to die for.
Eve is a vegan restaurant, juice bar and unique gathering place that nourishes your body, mind and soul. It’s the perfect spot to relax and soak up the good vibes of this spiritually charged surfer beach town. They also have a room in the back that they rent out for yoga classes, workshops and community socials (check out their Inner Temple Tuesdays and Yogi Supper Club). You could easily spend an afternoon bellied up to their fresh cold-pressed juice bar, take an energizing yoga class, spend an hour reading a book on their cozy couches and then meet up with friends for dinner and a local kombucha. Sounds like the perfect day to me!
My mom was happy to be introduced to a new local haunt and we had a lovely mother/daughter date together. We split the epic Legendary Hero Buddha Bowl (braised kale, brussel sprouts, beets, carrots, hemp seed, brown rice, walnuts and cranberries in their amazing tahini glory sauce) and the Strawberry Fields Salad w/added avocado (farm fresh strawberries, roasted brussels sprouts and fennel with mixed greens and a pumpkin mint dressing). For dessert we split the Raw Apple Pie. Delicious!
Most of the meals are $12, like the Havana Affair Buddha Bowl above. They also make filling smoothies…original concoctions loaded with superfoods. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and also deliver through DoorDash , UberEATS or Eat24.

Recent discovery….They now sell their bowls to go at the Carlsbad Jimbos! Bingo! I know where I’ll be going for lunch everyday. 😉
